SMS Messaging Consent
Last updated: June 5, 2026
In-Person Verbal ConsentQuotery is an AI-powered quoting and inventory platform used by distributors, wholesalers, and field sales representatives. SMS messaging is used solely to deliver quote links to customers at their request.
How Consent Is Collected
All SMS consent is collected in person during face-to-face interactions between a sales representative and their customer. No automated or online opt-in form exists because the customer relationship is established on-site.
Consent Flow
The representative builds a quote using the Quotery platform based on the customer's needs — products, quantities, and pricing.
The representative explicitly asks the customer: "Can I send this quote to your phone as a text message?" The customer may choose SMS, email, or both.
If the customer agrees, they give their phone number to the representative directly. The representative enters it into the Quotery platform.
Quotery sends the customer a text message containing only a secure link to view their personalized quote. No marketing content, no recurring messages, no follow-up unless the customer initiates it by requesting changes to the quote.
Verbal Consent Script
Sales representatives must read this script verbatim when collecting SMS consent in person:
"I'm with Quotery. Can I send your personalized quote to your phone via text message? You'll receive a secure link to view your quote. You may receive up to 5 messages per quote request. Message and data rates may apply. Reply STOP to cancel or HELP for help."
Message Content
All SMS messages sent through Quotery are transactional in nature:
- Each message contains a unique, single-use link to view a specific quote
- Messages include the representative's contact name and phone number
- No marketing, promotional content, or upsells are included
- No recurring or automated campaigns — every message is triggered by a representative at a customer's direct request
Opt-Out
Customers who wish to stop receiving SMS messages can inform the representative directly or reply STOP to any message. Quotery does not maintain marketing lists or send bulk campaigns.
